Am I being thick? Empty Am I being thick?

Post by Ross P Tue Jan 20, 2009 2:25 am

I have been trying to think of a simple way to flag up to other users when I am not available to help for extended periods i.e. away on holiday.
This would save them the bother of messaging me when I am not around to reply.
So far I haven't come up with a workable idea, but it's probably just me missing the obvious lol!

Any ideas?

If you let staff know when you're going to be away we can add a note to your databases that you wont be available for that time period thumb

A way of users doing it manually could be to add a note in the 'Name' field in the profile. i.e. Name: Jo (unavailable 2nd Dec-12thDec)

Just a thought...

On another forum I'm on there's a sticky titled "Offline". Members can post here when they won't be around and as the time passes the posts can be deleted by a mod. Might be something to consider for an easy reference type thing Embarassed

I have noticed that some people post this information in the Messages for Members section.
