PM NOTIFICATION CODS-UP!
A moment ago I received an email telling me that I had a PM on here and instructing me to click on the link below, all standard stuff. However, when I clicked on the link there was no new message, only those which I had received previously. I have not got to the limit of my stored message allowance so it can't be that.
Any ideas please? Oh, and if someone did message me and is having problems getting through, please say so and I will try contacting you instead.
Cheers!
Miranda

Re: PM NOTIFICATION CODS-UP!
Well a similar thing has happened to me but not exactly the same. I had already recieved and read a PM asking for my help with a case but when I went back to my inbox, the message was gone. I am sad now because someone out there asked for my help but I can't remember who it was...
And worrying that someone can hack into my inbox I have to say.

Re: PM NOTIFICATION CODS-UP!
I'm not impressed that I actually had a message in my box and it has now been deleted. I did read it which makes no odds but I am concerned this has happened.

Re: PM NOTIFICATION CODS-UP!
I think I am correct in saying the member who had sent out a mass pm was deleted to ensure that pms from this bogus person could therefore be deleted with it. Sadly it was quite a damaging pm and it was the easiest way to ensure that alot of members didnt see it.

Re: PM NOTIFICATION CODS-UP!
The pm I received wasn't damaging in the slightest. I'm not going to say what the content was before anyone tries to draw this out of me. I agree mass pms are against the rules on this forum but I'm at a loss as to how come the message has disappeared from my box when it was in there and read by myself.

Re: PM NOTIFICATION CODS-UP!
For example If I pm'd you. Then in an hour I get banned and deleted. The pm I sent you would dissapear.
That is how this particular type of forum works not how RHU specifically works.
if the person is still a member on here then maybe you can pm him/her to ask for the info again.
Hope that helps

Re: PM NOTIFICATION CODS-UP!
Why are ALL pm's from ex-members deleted?
I had pm's from somebody that i had also read, normal pm's nothing untoward and they are now gone, all because that member has gone!
Seems a bit unfair really

Best to take up any queries regarding this with admin.
Although members do not get banned unless that member has seriously broken RHUs rules and expectations. Mass PMing is clearly a breach of those.

That's not actually something admin has any control over whatsoever. If a user is deleted so are all the PMs they sent. It's just the way Forumotion forums work.

Re: PM NOTIFICATION CODS-UP!
sadly members have joined another forum and deleted their own accounts therefore all pms sent via there account will dissappear from everyones inbox
Re: PM NOTIFICATION CODS-UP!
also i may just add because of this and those members having hundreds of thousands of posts between them it also means there are loads of guest posts
